My OC Melisande, now in color!  Well, as colorful as Mel gets.  She’s a bit of a walking icicle.  

More fun with OCs, this time with one of Star’s co-stars (hah!), Nightshade.  ’Shade is the more polished one of the lot in terms of style … which is funny considering that her earliest designs had her in pseudo raver/goth gear.

Finally, time to post more Sailor Moon stuff! 

Here’s another Sailor Moon-ified version of one of L. E. Simmons’ OCs, this time it’s his brainy babe, Kendra, as the tech-fueled Sailor Penumbra.  In L’s story, Kenny’s dad is that universe’s equivalent of the Shadow (thus Sailor Penumbra, natch) and her mother is a super-scientist (thus the mini-comp and VR display.)  I’ve always loved Sailor Mercury’s tech edge and was always sad that it didn’t get more play in the series … so I let all that love just burst out with Penumbra’s accessories.

Oh, and for those of you waiting to make an Umbra/Antumbra joke—one of her attacks has her splitting into three parts (with slight palette swaps) the nicknames for her two bonus!selves?  Sailors Umbra and Antumbra, of course.

… yes, I did overthink this.  My mind wanders while CG’ing, what can I do?

More doodling with Melisande.  When I first designed her and her crew, they didn’t have “uniforms,” but then I realized that Magical Girls without at least semi-standardized uniforms are not Magical Girls.  They’re superheroines.  

I’m nodding a bit to her original uniform with this outfit.  I’m pretty sure that even on her off days, Mel wouldn’t wear a skirt if you paid her.

Well, maybe if you paid her.
